IMMORTAL MOLLUSC
Seashell seashell on the sea shore,
Is really just a skeleton of a life that is no more.
It's sheer delight to find one, of any shape or size.
A twirly swirly souvenir, an iridescent prize.
I will treasure my shell forever, a memory of a day
I strolled one lovely summer with a friend along the bay.
If only this little mollusc knew, that even now it's dead
It still brings joy into the world, as it sits beside my bed.
